Every METAR, TAF, GFA panel, NOTAM and upper wind that bears on your route, printed as one continuous brief — colour-coded, decoded beside the raw string, and readable again with no signal.
The brief
Pilots are trained readers. CYWX never paraphrases an observation into a summary card — the transmitted string stays on the page at reading size, and the decoding sits beside it.
The observation prints exactly as received, selectable and unabridged. Wind, visibility, ceiling, temperature and altimeter are decoded into the same five slots on every aerodrome, so reading a route is vertical eye movement rather than re-reading a layout.

Graphical Area Forecast panels, Canadian NOTAMs and FD upper winds arrive on the same roll as the observations, alongside the cloud-type and opacity remarks that Canadian stations append and most apps print as raw text.
The last brief stays on the device and opens again in a hangar, on a ramp or in a valley. Every value carries the time it was retrieved, and stale data is presented as stale — never dressed up as current.
The verdict
Roughly one man in twelve has a colour vision deficiency. Each aerodrome states its category in words, repeats it as a dash pattern down the margin, and stages the observation’s age as the weight of that same bar.
On the device
Weather is requested by the device directly from the source and is never mirrored, cached or relayed through a server of ours. There is no account, and your route is nobody’s business.

CYWX is in development for iPhone and iPad. It is being built in the Okanagan, for the flight planning that actually happens: standing at the hangar door, one-handed, deciding whether today is a day to fly.
